The Chaldean SystemThe Chaldean System of numerology has its roots in Ancient Babylon. This system is related to the Vedic System of India and the Kabbalah System of the Hebrew mystics. The underlying premise of Chaldean numerology is that every letter has a unique vibration. Numbers are assigned to letters based on the vibrational value. In the Pythagorean System of numerology numbers are assigned by sequence. Letters are assigned numeric values from 1 to 8. ![]() Note: some Chaldean Systems of numerology require that each component of the name be analyzed separately in case one of the names equates to a Master Number. For example; if the first name equates to the Master Number '11', this number is then added to the sum of the last name. The Chaldean System has largely been replaced by the Pythagorean System. |
The Pythagorean SystemThe Pythagorean System of numerology is said to have originated from the Greek mathematician Pythagoras of Samos. He was born in 580 B.C. He studied the systems of India, Arabia, Persia, Palestine, Phoenicia, Chaldea, Babylon, and Egypt. Pythagoras is best know for his solution to the hypotenuse of a right triangle. The Pythagorean System is the dominate numerology in the western world. The underlying premise of Pythagorean numerology is that every letter has a unique vibration. Numbers are assigned to letters based on the vibrational value. In the Pythagorean System of numerology letters are assigned a number by their position in a sequence. Letters are assigned numeric values from 1 to 9. ![]() ![]() |
